Up till now, only a few information existed about the Best Ager sports
market. While free access to data which refers to quantity is easily available,
qualitative information about the topic of Best Ager is rare and difficult to
find. Some questions might be answered in part within the scope of other
surveys about different fields. However, those studies always have to be viewed
against the background of the special situation which older people face with regard
to sports and activity.
Therefore,
ispo and the Best Ager sports marketing agency Generation Sport have ordered a
representative study throughout Germany from the renowned Institute for Opinion
Research (IfD) in Allensbach. Data has been collected primarily about product
supply, acceptance and desires towards existing offers and promotional
communication, along with questions about the attitude of older people towards
sports in general. In this way, together with the data of the AWA 2007 (the
Allensbach Analyses of the Market and the Media), extensive conclusions can be
drawn for the sports line.
